OBERON F220
AIR COMPRESSOR OIL
DESCRIPTION
Oberon F220, the versatile air compressor lubricant is a blend of the highest quality Oberon Iso-paraffinic base stocks and the finest Oberon SL3 rust and oxidation additives available. This unique combination produces an exceptional lubricating oil with excellent thermal stability and low carbon forming characteristics. Oberon F220 is designed for all types of air compressors and meets the different needs of reciprocating, centrifugal and rotary compressors because of its anti-wear, anti-foam and excellent stability properties.
CHARACTERISTICS
High Viscosity Index
The Oberon Iso-paraffinic base oil in Oberon F220 carries an exceptionally high viscosity index to minimise viscosity changes during high and low temperature variations. Oberon F220 provides continuous high film strength between working parts through all varying temperatures.
Resists Oxidation
Oxidation occurs when oil molecules mix with oxygen to form harmful by-products like acid, sludge and varnish. The result is a great loss in film strength. Oberon F220 contains extraordinary anti-oxidants which resist oxidation up to temperatures well over the working compressor average temperature of 210ºC (410ºF). This prevents oxidation.
Resists Rust
Compression of humid air and condensation, the results of air compressors operating in stop-and-go action, cause moisture to enter air compressors. Oberon F220 coats all surfaces with a fine protective film of oil to resist all moisture and rust formation.
Extends Oil Change Periods
Oil change periods can be safely extended with the Oberon F220 special formulation.
