OBERON F226
SYNTHETIC AIR & REFRIGERATOR COMPRESSOR OIL
DESCRIPTION
Oberon F226 is specially engineered with synthetic base oil and ashless additives that provide superior anti-wear, corrosion, oxidation, rust, foam and dispersant characteristics. Oberon F226 is especially recommended for food-processing equipment. It is also ideal for non-food applications.
CHARACTERISTICS
Wide Temperature Range
Oberon F226 gives optimum results in temperatures ranging from -45ºC (-49ºF) to 130ºC (266ºF). Oberon F226 is especially suitable for ultra low temperature refrigeration due to its excellent low temperature characteristics, no wax content and low solubility and chemical stability in Freon and Ammonia refrigerants. Unlike conventional hydraulic oils that cannot be pumped as they solidify at very low temperatures, Oberon F226 is pumpable down to -45ºC. Oberon F226 also excels in high temperature compressors where final compression temperatures are high or in units which have a tendency to form deposits with conventional compressor oils.
Superior Wear Prevention
Oberon F226 contains special anti-scuff mild extreme pressure (E.P.) additives that minimise wear and ensure that a lubricant film is maintained between surfaces in equipment operating under moderate load conditions.
Excellent Filterability
Oberon F226 provides excellent protection against filter plugging which, if not controlled, can result in hydraulic pump failure due to inadequate lubricant supply. Oberon F226 contains powerful oxidation inhibitors and ashless additives that prevent the formation of filter deposits.
Compatibility
Oberon F226 is completely compatible with conventional mineral oils. In addition, no special precautions need to be taken with gasketing in equipment as these materials act in the same way as mineral oils.
Longer Service Life
Oxidation, if not controlled, degrades oil very quickly. The pure synthetic hydrocarbon base oils and powerful oxidation inhibitors in Oberon F226 greatly extend oil service life by effectively resisting
oxidation.
