OBERON F228
MULTI-PURPOSE INDUSTRIAL LUBRICATION OIL
DESCRIPTION
Oberon F228 is the upmarket multipurpose industrial lubrication oil, specially designed for maintenance to reduce the potential of any misapplication. Available in most viscosity grades, Oberon F228 is recommended for circulating systems, bearings and general purpose lubrication, compressor and hydraulic systems, including enclosed gears where high, extreme pressure load characteristics are not required. It is ideal for chain drives, lathes, torque converters and electric motors. Oberon F228 is highly recommended for Lucas PM hydraulic pumps as they do not attack the silver components.
CHARACTERISTICS
Long Service Life
Oberon F228 extends the service life of plain and anti-friction bearings, whether by pressure circulating system, splash lubrication or oil can. Oberon F228 is carefully filtered to less than 5 micron particle size to ensure excellent long service life to wear-prone areas.
Wear Prevention
Oberon SL3 contains special anti-scuffing additives to give extra-protection where high speed, high pressure and extreme temperature conditions are experienced.
Corrosion And Rust Protection
The superior anti-corrosion and rust additives in Oberon F228 protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals and their alloys from both salt and fresh water contaminants during service life.
Quick Water Separation
The demulsifying action of Oberon SL3 additive system promotes quick water separation should water be an unavoidable contaminant,. This ensures effective lubrication.
Foam Resistance
The unparalleled anti-foam additives in Oberon F228 separate entrained air from the oil to prevent wear-producing metal-to-metal contact.
Extremely High Viscosity Index
Ordinary oils thicken in cold temperatures, and thin in warm temperatures. Their lubricating film strength between moving parts breaks down when deprived of an adequate lubricating wedge causing metal parts to wear out prematurely. The extremely high viscosity index in Oberon F228 provides continuous lubrication in both high and low temperatures.
