MULTI PURPOSE, EXTREME PRESSURE BEARING LUBRICANT (Super Grease)

DESCRIPTION

Oberon G38 is blended with heavy oil, extreme pressure additives plus rust and oxidation inhibitors. Oberon G38 has a heavier oil viscosity, is more adhesive and can be successfully used in areas where water contamination is probable or slow moving heavy loads are encountered. Oberon G38 is typically used in manufacturing machineries.

CHARACTERISTICS

Extreme Temperature Performance 

Ordinary greases soften easily when operating temperatures rise. Oberon G38 is specially formulated to give superior performance and protection at elevated temperatures (it features a high dropping point of 520ºF). Oberon G38 will lubricate longer at higher temperatures than lithium/lithium complex greases. At the same time, it provides excellent low temperature performance.

Heavier Oil Viscosity 

Water interferes with the lubricating process and causes corrosion in moving joints. Water can enter bearings when seals are inadequate or when the lubricant lacks sufficient adhesiveness. Oberon G38 has a heavier oil viscosity and is more adhesive so it can be successfully used in areas where water contamination is probable or slow moving heavy loads are encountered.

Exceptional E.P. Properties 

Oberon G38 possesses outstanding load carrying capacity and works well under shock loading conditions. By resisting severe and constant impact, Oberon G38 allows bearings to function without hindrance thus protecting against expensive wear and premature equipment failure. It passed the ASTM D-2509 Timken OK Load of an extremely high 65 lbs! It also has an extremely low 4-Ball Wear of 0.4mm (ASTM D-2266)

Superior Shear Stability 

Oberon G38 is formulated with a shear stability designed to provide optimum lubrication under harsh working conditions. Oberon G38 will not wash out in water or bleed at high pressure but will hold on tenaciously to working parts.

Better Pumpability 

Oberon G38 can be used in centralised lube systems - even when exposed to cold temperatures. It passed the Trabon Centralised Lube System Test with flying colours.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance 

Unlike lithium/lithium complex greases that are high in sulphur content, Oberon G38 is engineered to withstand higher extreme pressure loads without using corrosive type additives. It is fortified with effective rust inhibitors that provides maximum corrosion protection. 

Environmentally Friendly 

Oberon G38 is developed from New Polyurea Technology that is specially designed to create lubricants that are safe for the environment and easily biodegradable.
