OBERON G55

OPEN GEAR LUBRICANT

DESCRIPTION

Oberon G55 is a special weather-resistant open gear lubricant, formulated to resist extreme pressure and shearing of open gears, fifth wheels and heavy duty equipment. Oberon G55 has extreme water resistance properties and clings tenaciously in position regardless of climatic phenomena.

CHARACTERISTICS

High-Stress Resistance

Open gears operate by sliding and wiping one another under high loads. The stress and wear in open gears are enormous. Oberon G55 contains unique load-carrying anti-wear and anti-friction additives to withstand the sliding and wiping actions of gear teeth. The Oberon SL3 additives resist severe wear cause by metal-to-metal contact. Their “cling to” ability stays on metal surfaces much longer than most conventional greases in the market today, resulting in longer-lasting lubricity with fewer lubrication intervals.

Texture Retention

Unlike ordinary greases that easily harden. Oberon G55 retains its initial soft texture. Ordinary greases thin down and squeeze out, even under slight temperature increases. Oberon G55 retains its texture and stays in position. It seals out the dust and moisture.

Wide Application

Oberon G55 cuts re-greasing requirements and has unlimited applications. Oberon G55 can be used in equipment such as cranes, walking hoists, winches, timber drags, rear pulleys and cable ways. In addition, Oberon G55 is an excellent fifth wheel lubricant. The ultra-tough film strength of Oberon G55 resists the severe metal-to-metal pressure between plate and the fifth wheel and continues to lubricate where ordinary greases would have failed. Re-greasing intervals can then be dramatically extended with Oberon G55.
