OBERON F229

PREMIUM QUALITY CUTTING OIL

DESCRIPTION

Oberon F229 is a premium quality phenol and nitrite free heavy duty soluble cutting oil. It contains a stable, chlorinated additive to impart extreme-pressure (EP) properties. It is designed for moderate to severe machining operations including boring, milling, drilling, tapping, threading, broaching, turning, reaming and grinding. Oberon F229 which forms stable white emulsions with good “emulsion reserve” possesses excellent resistance to bacteria degradation.

CHARACTERISTICS

Maximised Lubrication & Cooling is assured between the cutting tool and work surfaces which promotes long tool life and excellent surface finish to the machined surface. Extreme pressure properties of heavy duty Oberon F229 combined with the excellent cooling properties of the emulsion assures these benefits.

Rust Protection is given to steel and ferrous machined metals with emulsion dilutions up to 60:1 water to oil concentrations.

Bacteria Resistance. The inclusion of an effective biocide ensures long service emulsion life, free of bacteriological degradation products which generally result in staining and corrosion of the machined components.

Long Tool Life is characterised by the high oiliness, low frictional and cooling properties of Oberon F229.

Emulsion Stability Of Oberon F229 is unsurpassed. It provides excellent emulsion stability in hard water up to 400 ppm (expressed as calcium carbonate).

Non Irritating. the components formulated in Oberon F229 do not

promote skin irritation.

RECOMMENDATION

Oberon F229 is recommended at the following dilutions:

Turning, Milling and Drilling 3 - 5 %

Threading, Reaming and Tapping 5 - 10 %

Broaching 5 - 10 %

Grinding 2.5 %

When making an emulsion, always add oil to water.

Never add water to oil.
